Lexi Houdalakis

Lexi Houdalakis

Hi, my name is Lexi Houdalakis, I am the showjumping representative for team Indigo Health.

When asked to speak about my horses I can blabber on for hours, talking about myself doesn’t quite roll off the tongue as easily but let’s give it a try.

I live and breathe HORSES, I was born into the horse world and I come from a line of reputable, respected horse people. My dad (Lucky Houdalakis) being a former jockey and now a trainer, my mom (Natalie Houdalakis) being a former top equestrian athlete across multiple disciplines and my late grandad (Trevor Lange) being a former jockey, trainer and stipe, the chances of me not being horse mad were slim to none. I was on a horse before I could even walk and haven’t looked back.

I am 23 years old now and although I competed pretty much my whole life through the inter-school ranks I have now been competing on the graded showjumping stage for about 5 years competitively. I am currently in the transition stage between the 1.10m and 1.20m on my new horse Pachedu CC that I bought myself to finally have the horsepower to climb the showjumping ranks. In the past I haven’t really had the access to horsepower that one needs to be competitive but I did my best with my constantly changing string of off the track thoroughbreds that I would produce and sell myself.

Now, with a team of great horses, coaches, sponsors and supporters I finally have the backing to start realistically aiming at my goals to jump around the open grades. My short-term goal is to get into the 1.20m classes comfortably and my two year goal is to be an Open Showjumper.

Thanks to my partnership with Indigo Health, a brand I believed in before they even knew me, myself and my horses are feeling and looking the picture of health and can go out and achieve all our goals.
